The Second JMap Conference took place on November 17-18, 2004 in Montreal. Over
80 JMap clients and
partners attended this conference at Montreal's Science Centre.
As for the First Conference, the two days started with a
series of technical workshops. The focus of this year's
workshops were on the development of JMap Extensions. In
particular, a strong emphasis was put on the new SOLAP
Extension, which brings JMap into a business intelligence
environment.
On the second day, attendees
were presented the new features that will be part of JMap 3.0,
scheduled to be released in the first quarter of 2005. To keep
strengthening the sense of a community of interest, KHEOPS also
unveiled a new JMap Forum, where all participants can exchange
technical information and more on the online geospatial
solution.
