KHEOPS Technologies today announced the availability of the release 2.6 of JMap, effective immediately. This new version of KHEOPS's acclaimed interactive geopublishing solution brings numerous new features that provide greater flexibility to the Web-based user.
In particular, JMap 2.6 allows users of the client/server solution to work offline with local data, pool requests to the server, and send these requests when the connection is established. This is especially useful for field technicians who can now use their cellular connection more sparingly.
Other significant improvements are:
- an automated export function of JMap reports toward spreadsheet applications,
- the ability to print on multiple formats, including broad sheets up to A0,
- the free rotation of the maps on screen and in print,
- a direct link between JMap and corporate LDAP servers,
- binding of spatial objects with external database attributes,
- and JMap layer creation based on multiple GIS files.
These improvements all constitute new steps in making JMap the most flexible way to share geospatial information everywhere and at all time.
