Montreal,
23 September 2008 --
Montreal, September 23rd 2008 After only a year in the commercial phase of their partnership agreement, KHEOPS Technologies and PG Govern are proud of JMap's breakthrough in Quebec's municipal community. By integrating JMap to its software proposal, PG Govern has clearly demonstrated that JMap meets all geospatial publication needs and requirements for cities of all sizes in Quebec. At the core of the Gestionnaire Municipal, PGMegaEval and Accès Cité suites, JMap offers the full range of cartographic functions required within a municipal GIS context (permits, complaints & work orders, appraisal, taxation, etc.).
Both parties are pleased with the results obtained as JMap successfully met all expectations of municipal administrators. After a year, JMap can now be found in over 20 new municipalities from Rouyn-Noranda to St-Eustache, by way of St-Honoré, Ste-Brigitte-de-Laval, St-Ferréol-des-Neiges, Neuville, Brigham, Otterburn Park, St-Leonard, Repentigny, Coaticook, Plessisville, Neuville, Verchères, Saint-Blaise-sur-le-Richelieu"
PG Govern's tools complement JMap offering with respect to the integration of solutions (tracking, asset maintenance, public security, video surveillance, call automation, as well as real estate and documentation management). "Our strategy with regard to making JMap a HUB that federates databases and interfaces originating from various technologies, is now bearing fruit!" says Jacques Charron, President of KHEOPS.
PG echoes that opinion: ?JMap adds a great deal of value to our proposal because it is the most open of all solutions for online access to spatial information in the internet or intranet mode. It is a software application in constant evolution that constitutes a logical extension to our municipal management applications? according to Daniel Desaulniers, General Director of PG Govern.
Among other Quebec municipalities that are running JMap, we find the City of Montreal, the City of Saguenay, the City of Trois-Rivières, the City of Shawinigan, the City of Blainville, the City of Terrebonne as well as the MRC of Vaudreuil-Soulanges with its 23 municipalities. In total, there are over 55 Quebec municipalities now using JMap.
